Wedding - Lynette and Deane

Henley Kiosk on the Beach

Bianca Weber is the manager of the Kiosk. Liason on the day should be made with her or her brother Josef.

Complimentary coffees and icecreams (a gift from Lyn and Deane) will be offered to guests. After the ceremony Sophie Head will be providing guests with identification to give them access to put these on the tab that Kiosk staff are keeping for us.

Set up and decoration

Beverley and Craig Heidenreich, with help from a couple of volunteers, are setting up the decorations – and tables, flags, chairs and canopies on the beach. Arrangements have been made with Bianca, the Kiosk manager, for set up to be done from 11.00 am on.

Catering

Cindy Taylor and Liz Murphy and volunteer staff catering. Food is being prepared and will be plated up at Lyn’s house and refrigerated in a transportable Coolroom.

Coolroom details are below.

The Coolroom trailer will be moved by Peter Hardy with help from Michael Bell (10.30 am at Lyn’s place) to the first car park adjacent to the kiosk on the northern side (the one next to the disabled park). A permit has been granted by the City of Charles Sturt for this parking space from 10am to 7pm. Power for the Coolroom needs to be run from the Kiosk using long extension leads suspended across to the light pole and adjacent parking sign poles. Gaffer tape and a ladder are required. No power leads on the ground please.

Following the event Peter will tow the trailer back to Lyn’s place.

Drinks

Full drinks service is being supplied by licensed provider “Are You Being Served”.

Contact is Joanne Evans on 8211 7216. Tom is contact on the day.

The hire equipment will be delivered to the Kiosk on Saturday morning and from 11.30 am 5 staff will set up tables, tubs of ice etc., and following the ceremony will serve drinks in plastic “glasses” from trays. The area on the south western side of the kiosk (beach side), next to the rail, is nominated as the most suitable location for the drinks tables. Their staff will clean up drinks waste and remove following the event.

The Are You Being Served staff are Tom (supervisor), Rosemary, Rene, Monica and Richard.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO ALCOHOL IS TO BE SERVED ON, OR TAKEN BY GUESTS ONTO, THE BEACH.

Portable Sound System

We are borrowing a portable sound system from YWAM. It has two mics and line input for a music player (say CD or iPod). The unit will be picked up by Craig and delivered to Deane’s place so that he and Boyd can check out its operation prior to the day.

The system will be positioned on the beach with speaker(s) facing the kiosk during the ceremony and will be controlled locally. Battery power will probably be used at this stage. Two microphones and input for iPod for backing track to Sophie and Nigel’s song during the ceremony.

Later the system can be moved up to the kiosk area to provide sound reinforcement for the music group Riley, Emma and Sam – RES? :-). At this stage the sound unit may need to be plugged into mains power which is available from a power point on the south eastern corner of the kiosk exterior. Boyd and Nigel may need to give a hand with this please.

Photography and Video

Essential photography will be shared by Dennis Coleman, Dariusz Brzozowski and David Sparrow.

The digital revolution means that nowadays “everyone is a photographer”, so we are expecting there will be a multitude of cameras and we welcome all pictures that guests shoot and would like to forward on to us.

Momo Gavric and Martine Jusserand will be shooting video.

Cars

Lyn will be accompanied to the wedding by Penny and Lloyd Halliday in the car driven by Lucy McGill. Pat and Sophie will be driven to the wedding in the car driven by Aaron Yew. The cars will need to be a Lyn’s home by 12.15 pm. Ribbons need to be arranged for the cars.

The Children

On arrival at the Kiosk Lyn and the bridal party will be joined by Paris and Tahlia, Georgia and Holly, Zoe and Sasha, and Jack and Ben. The children will lead the party down onto the beach.

The girls will carry parasols and the boys will have the wedding rings (and hopefully won’t drop them in the sand).

Thank you to everyone helping.

Enjoy the day and have fun!
